Develop and maintain a group of talented professionals with proven skills and integrity for excellent service delivery.
We recognize that the best way to realize our goal of continued excellent standards and mission of top leadership posture is to continually keep our human capital abreast of the best and latest techniques and technology in all our business operations.
To achieve this, Thasious adopts a policy for knowledge/technology transfer that is committed to training, developing and retraining her manpower. In the bid to develop their awareness and skills of recent technology, innovation and regulations, we endeavour to send our staff on technical courses, within the country and outside when necessary.
Thasious also organizes in-house trainings for our Clearing and Delivery Officers on innovations in clearing systems in the ports and for Trailer Drivers on the new Lagos State Traffic Laws, making use of our experienced and talented professionals. The same training approach is adopted for all other divisions in the company, cutting across personnel and administration, accounting, marketing and sales, etc.
Thasious also occasionally offers some graduate training programmes, especially in the areas of port operations, to give young graduates the opportunity of discovering the next stage of their lives after graduation and to prepare them for sound leadership positions in the Maritime Industry. To identify and reinforce / correct employees’ areas of relative strengths / weakness, Thasious embarks on periodic staff appraisal. Rewards are made available to excellent performers while average or poor performers are redirected and encouraged to improve their performance.
